Welcome to the World Cup of Rhythmic Gymnastics in 2015
The first Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Pesaro was in 2009, the same year in which the Italian Rhytmic Gymnastic National Team won the gold medal in Miè, Japan. The following editions of this event coincide with two gold medals won by the Emanuela Maccarani’s “Butterflies” in 2010 in Moscow and in 2011 in Montpellier.

The following editions of this event coincide with two gold medals won by the Emanuela Maccarani’s “Butterflies” in 2010 in Moscow and in 2011 in Montpellier and also the Olympic bronze in London in 2012, and we cannot forget the silver medal at the World Championship in Kiev, last September.
The Rossini’s hometown of Pesaro is a kind of an “Italian Team” good luck charm for small apparatus as well as the place of one of the most eagerly awaited event in the international circuit of the World Cup. It is a great pleasure then to be on the Adriatic coast for the sixth time, in the middle of a new agonistic springtime and at the beginning of a crucial season on the way to Rio de Janeiro with the sweet feeling of a future to be written.
Besides the teams a lot of individuals will participate in this event. Many of them are raising stars that we have already admired at the World Championship in Ukraine; others, very young, are up to be on the podium of the World Cup in Pesaro, while looking ahead to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
“The Great Beauty” of the worldwide Rhythmic, from 11th to 13th April, will be easily reachable for all the fans of this wonderful activity for getting an autograph or to applause the gymnasts.
The organizational acknowledgment to Aspes SpA and especially to Aurora Fano –one of the most important clubs in the Section managed by prof. Marina Piazza- has always represented, irrespective of the results, a great fulfillment, an important “business card” for the Italian Gymnastics.
The Federal Committee has always give credit to Paola Porfiri, Filippo Colombo and their staff and it also renews its full trust, through the Marche Regional Committee chaired by Marco Baioni, in the good success of an event that combines perfectly Sport and Tourism.
All I can do is to give my kindest and warmest “welcome back” to all the Delegations – from the Italian to all the foreigners- and to wish a good time to all the fans and to all the wonderful gymnasts (junior, senior, individuals or teams) which will perform at the Adriatic Arena.
