Bordering Romagna, Umbria and Tuscany, the province of Pesaro and Urbino boats an incomparable multicoloured hilly countryside stretching as far as the peaks of the apennines: an uncontaminated sea of green in which it is possible to immerse oneself and observe the wonders of the changing seasons while enjoying the numerous pastimes available in the area.visiting this part of the adriatic means enjoying the spectacle of two of the very few headlands on the entire coastline, taking advantage of the tranquillity of small isolated coves or experiencing the more frequented yet just as inviting sandy beaches. Few countries in the world are suffused with such a strong sense of historical continuity as Marche region in Italy. From the myths that surround the birth of the etruscan civilization to the foundation of united Italy in the XIX century, past and present are inextricably linked. Urbino is the renaissance of the new millennium. Its ducal palace, with its stately rooms, towers and magnificent courtyard forms a perfect example of the architecture of the time. Today, the building still houses the marche region national gallery with precious paintings by piero della francesca, laurana and raphael. Rarely can a province offer such an abundance of interesting food and wine. The most evident example is that of the truffle, which is found at the fairs of sant'agata feltria, sant'angelo in vado and acqualagna. Sangiovese and bianchello local wines have reach high quality levels. Fish, instead, has a daily presence in the cuisine of pesaro and fano, while further inland, pork-butchers offer a variety of choice salami and cooked meats. To these we can add other products from the province, products that inspire a simple yet tasty cuisine, above all, of exception variety.
